Пам’ятник одеситам-чорнобильцям

Пам’ятник одеситам, які брали участь у ліквідації аварії на Чорнобильській АЕС, розташований у сквері на розі Малої Арнаутської та Олександрівського проспекту в Одесі. Встановлено 1997 року, до 11-ї річниці аварії на ЧАЕС. Скульптор – Олександр Князик, архітектор – Володимир Глазирін

Пам’ятник є колоною з чорного граніту, вершину якої вінчає людська постать у вигляді розп’яття, обома руками утримує дві половини атомного ядра. На підніжжі пам’ятника нанесено напис: «Одеситам-чорнобильцям». Пізніше до напису було додано рядок: «Учасникам ядерних випробувань». Щороку на річницю аварії біля пам’ятника проводиться мітинг-реквієм пам’яті жертв катастрофи.

The monument to the inhabitants of Odessa who participated in the liquidation of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant is located in the square at the corner of Malaya Arnautskaya and Aleksandrovsky Prospekt in Odessa. The monument is a black granite column, the top of which is crowned with a human figure in the form of a crucifix, holding two halves of the atomic nucleus with both hands. At the foot of the monument there is an inscription: “To Odessa-Chernobyl”. Later, the line was added to the inscription: “Participants in nuclear tests.” Every year, on the anniversary of the accident, a meeting-requiem in memory of the victims of the disaster is held near the monument.
